Nursing home Les Jardins du Castel
The client’s objectives and expectations
Identify comfort issues, particularly energy-intensive areas, and potential energy savings opportunities.
Our main tasks
- Diagnosis of the building envelope,
- Diagnostic des équipements énergétiques du site,
- Building heat loss assessment,
- Energy consumption assessment (electricity, natural gas, water),
- Dynamic thermal modeling (DTM),
- Comfort analysis,
- Recommendations on the building and equipment (energy, environmental, financial, comfort gains, investment),
- Renovation scenario meeting the Tertiary Decree (relative/absolute target).

Project characteristics
- Nursing home (EHPAD) with 9,995 m² of heated surface (123 rooms),
- 2 boiler rooms with 2×150 kW gas and 2×575 kW gas,
- Old and new buildings.
Résultats obtenus
- Consumption before audit: 244 kWh PE/m².year,
- Consumption after audit: 209 kWh PE/m².year, representing an energy saving of 14%.
Conducting a dynamic thermal simulation, although substantial, is relevant to highlight discomfort in certain rooms of the building.
