Les Hermines Residences & Virginie Danion
The client’s objectives and expectations
- Control and reduce the energy-related budget,
- Harness a renewable energy source and reduce reliance on fossil fuels,
- Limiter l’impact environnemental et les émissions de gaz à effet de serre.
Our main tasks
- Conduct the sizing study of the solar installation in accordance with ADEME’s specifications,
- Detail the proposed technical solutions and technologies suited to the project,
- Alert on additional studies to be conducted (structural study, asbestos diagnosis, etc.),
- Specify the methodology for effective monitoring of the solar installation’s performance (metering plan),
- Provide information on the maintenance requirements for the solar installation,
- Carry out a comprehensive economic assessment with payback period calculation,
- Identify available subsidies and aid (Heat Fund, Energy Savings Certificates, etc.),
- Quantify the gains in greenhouse gas emissions compared to a reference solution.

Project characteristics
- Building area: 3,200 to 3,500 m² (depending on the project),
- Building type: Elderly care home,
- Number of residents: 65 to 69.
Résultats obtenus
- Number of solar thermal panels: 14 to 17 panels (depending on the project),
- Usable surface area: 32 m² to 40 m²,
- Solar coverage rate: 55%.
The study demonstrated the interest and technical feasibility of a solar installation for the residences. Moreover, this project would significantly reduce the energy expenses of the establishments while lowering the environmental impact of domestic hot water production.
